Componibili by Anna Castelli Ferrieri for Kartell in 1969. Home organization in style! A couple of months ago we re-organized our bathroom and purchased the classic round Componibili organizer for our bathroom towels and those dreaded toilet-paper rolls. Although, Componibili was designed by the Italian designer Anna Castelli Ferrieri for Kartell in 1969, its design is as fresh today as when it was designed.
We used to find vintage Componibili's at the New York flea market in Chelsea many years ago but it seems everyone is collecting them nowadays...so why not purchase them new. Componibili is still made by Kartell in Italy and is priced attractively for most budgets. Componibili is a great space saver and its timeless design blends in perfectly with our space age modern home style. The round shape is a little strange, but don't let that fool you, Componibili offers plenty of storage space. The Componibili elements have been designed to meet various needs of use and live in any environment in the home or in the office: in the bathroom, bedroom, kitchen or lounge.
The design solution that animates the Sectional system is the elementary and solid vertical overlapping of the single pieces, which, through a simple tongue and groove joint, compose practical mobile containers. This system has been in production for over 40 years and is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Componibili can serve as a bedside table, bathroom storage, in offices, design studios or anywhere smart storage solutions are needed.
