Italian Design inspired by French Food. Profiterole Lamp designed by Sergio Asti for Martinelli Luce in 1970. A profiterole, cream puff (US) or choux à la crème is a choux pastry ball filled with whipped cream, pastry cream, or ice cream. Mmmmmmhhhhhhhhh! Sergio Asti certainly had fun when designing products! Another excellent example of the Italian Space Age design movement (we consider this the period from 1968 to 1972).
