This Braun watch measures 1.5" (38mm) diameter x 0.33" (8.5mm) thick matt stainless steel case with a leather strap. It has a quartz 3 hand movement and has a 50m water resistance with a scratch resistant mineral glass and comes with a 2 year warranty. Braun’s decision to re-issue its collection, including some of the LCD watches from the 1970s, met with the approval of Dietrich Lubs, co-designer with Dieter Rams. Lubs credits the watches’ independent and functionally-oriented designs for the continued relevance of the Braun timepiece collection, about thirty years after its initial introduction.

Braun was one of the world's most commercially successful design firms in the post-war years through to the end of the 1980's. Born out of a garage in 1921, Braun made radio parts and diversified using rapidly developing technology. With an impressive design team including Dieter Rams (German, born 1932) and Dietrich Lubs (German, born 1938), Braun's reputation as a maker of innovative small appliances sky-rocketed: electric shavers, hair dryers, travel alarm clocks, digital watches, pocket calculators, stereo equipment.
