Audrey Hepburn Forever Young
The work of photographer Irving Penn was simply sublime. And if you mix a brilliant photographer with a brilliant lady, the result transcends time and space. Irving Penn's portrait for Audrey Hepburn was taken to mark her Broadway debut in Gigi and appeared in Vogue in the issue of November 1, 1961. It was the magazine's first published picture of the 22-year old actress and dancer. Audrey Hepburn was fond of repeating that on arrival in New York 'the first two things I saw where the Statue of Liberty and Richard Avedon'. As it turned out, it was the other giant of magazine photography who photographed her first.
Audrey Hepburn with a pure natural smile that makes all your worries melt away. Something we can never get enough of. Thanks for the memories Audrey.
