We love the 50's diners with their iconic fifties retro furniture. These wonderful gems from the 1950's are getting harder and harder to find. The Peninsula Creamery Dairy Store is located at 900 High Street in Palo Alto, California. It remains for the most part in its original unaltered condition.
The single glass is framed with the typical aluminum window frames from the 1950's.
Matching fifties floor and furniture.
Order yourself a float or a fat boy sandwich.
Nice geometric windows; the perfect balance.
The Peninsula Creamery dates back to 1923 but the building itself was probably constructed during the early 1950's. The building itself features minimal modern architecture with expansive windows facing the street-side. One of the more popular items on the menu is the classic ice-cream float.
