Stan Galli for United Air Lines

Here is another fantastic vintage poster which was created by one of the most talented American illustrators of the 20th century, Stan Galli. Stan Galli's San Francisco depicts a colorful San Francisco scenery with the classic Cable Car making its way through Chinatown with the Golden Gate as the backdrop.

Stan Galli was one of the leading illustrators of the 1950's and he became famous for his illustrations for advertising in magazines and covers for some of the best known publications including National Geographic, Readers Digest, Fortune. He was also one of the leading illustrators for United Airlines, General Motors, Pacific Telephone in the 1950's and 1960's. We will try to make a small tribute with many of his creations on our blog.
