The Formentera House
Minimal Modern Architecture
Architect: Marià Castelló Martínez
Formentera Spain
Day
Night
Looking at the stars
One with its surrounding
Like a modern sculpture
Matching interiors with nice Panton Chairs
The Formentara House is one of the most beautiful new homes we have ever covered. This modern home is perfect in every way. Spanish architect Marià Castelló Martínez designed this incredible modern gem on Formentara. Formentera is one of the islands of Spain. An incredible example of modern architecture, done right, without distracting bells and whistles. This modern house compliments the landscape of the island of Formentera. Fields of wheat and barley, a small forest of Juniper trees, rosemary and dry stone walls on an almost flat topography. There is something very serene about the location and house, an incredible feeling of utterly well being, like a retreat for the mind, body and soul.
The building was made with factory-made blocks of Termoarcilla. Termoarcilla is a low density ceramic block, with special features that put it advantages over other materials in the market. It is produced in Spain by termoarcilla.com. This is a great material for modern architecture.
Marià Castelló Martínez has an architectural office on the island of Formentera in Spain.
