The industrial looking Standard Chair by French designer Jean Prouve is now available in a variety of special colors including 1950's green, light blue and Japanese red lacquer. Made by Vitra in Germany. Vintage Jean Prouve chairs can be found through auction houses like wright20.

We like this chair since it us made of such good quality, intended to last at least a half a century. Designed in 1934 by Jean Prouve. The Standard Chair is one of the classics in the history of furniture. Its quality is revealed in structural logic and unassuming aesthetics.
